Endoscopic Adenoidectomy with Microdebrider Versus Conventional Adenoidectomy

Background: Adenoidectomy is one of the most common surgical procedures performed in children Bangladesh. Though conventional curettage highly popular as it has advantage being cost effective and continues to be a commonly used method especially developing countries but Microdebrider opened new horizon this arena. To compare adenoidectomy endoscopic-assisted powered using microdebrider.
 Materials methods: This randomized single blinded comparative study, which was Medical Center Hospital, Chattogram from August 2019 July 2020. A total 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups. Group I underwent while II endoscopic- assisted adenoidectomy. Duration surgery, amount intra-operative bleeding, adequateness removal damage adjacent structures assessed compared between All followed for 12 months. Statistical analysis done statistical software package SPSS v 22.0. Data represented mean ± SD. Continuous variables t test nonparametric data Mann-Whitney U test.
